For DP-04 Level: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS 9-11) grade level or (DP-03) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Advises on, administers, or performs professional, scientific, or technical work concerned with engineering or architectural projects, facilities, structures, systems, processes, equipment, devices, material or methods. 2. Works on varied, complex equipment systems and subsystems associated with research, innovation, or reengineering assignments and demonstrates competence and creativity in developing new concepts and new uses of material/hardware/software/tactics. 3. Develops or tests new equipment or material that significantly adds to the operability and usefulness of existing or new equipment/systems having new features. For DP-03 Level:Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the (GS 5-9) grade level or (DP-02) pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1. Performs engineering work that is associated with specific tasks which may be a significant part of a major project. 2. Possessing fundamental knowledge and skills that were developed through active participation in the New Professionals (NP) Program, comparable experience, and/or advanced education, possesses a demonstrated ability to work as a productive team member. 3. Applies knowledge of the science or art, or both, by which materials, natural resources, and powers are made useful.
