Specialized experience is experience that has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to perform successfully the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Candidates for the GS-11 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower GS-09 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as having experience in 3 of the 4 following and must be reflected in resume: 1.) Using a variety of types of office automation software, i.e., database, spreadsheet and word processing; and knowledge of the similarities, differences and integration of the different software types. Knowledge of grammar, spelling, punctuation and required formats. 2.) Performing administrative functions, including compliance with human capital policies and procedures, workforce efficiency and effectiveness studies and conflict resolution intervention. 3.) Demonstrating efficient oral and written communication by performing tasks such as generating summary reports, preparing feedback surveys, and conducting data collections and presenting findings. 4.) Developing and updating file plans and procedures for paper and electronic records so that records are organized. –OR– Ph.D. or equivalent doctoral degree or 3 full years of progressively higher level graduate education leading to such a degree or LL.M., if related. –OR– Combination of specialized experience and education. Candidates for the GS-12 grade level must have at least 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower GS-11 grade level in Federal service. Specialized experience is defined as having experience in 4 of the 5 following and must be reflected in resume: 1.) The position is located in the Architect of the Capitol (AOC), Superintendent, Senate Office Buildings (SOB). The incumbent serves as a Management and Program Analyst for the AOC Senate Jurisdiction and performs organizational reviews covering a range of services and subjects that enhance the performance of the SOB jurisdiction. Performs administrative functions, including compliance with human resource policies and procedures, workforce efficiency and conflict resolution intervention.
