Federal experience is not required. The experience may have been gained in the public sector, private sector or Volunteer Service. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-06 You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience with applicable Federal laws and agency regulations governing the resolution of case processing and other administrative matters, sufficient to examine, review, and verify various legal and administrative documents and review investigative reports for evaluation of non-compliance; Experience with basic research techniques used to extract and compile data from files in order to make appropriate comparisons; Oral and written communications techniques to be able to handle inquiries and complaints, as well as provide legal and administrative information. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: GS-07 You must have 1 year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience with applicable Federal laws and agency regulations governing the resolution of case processing and other administrative matters, sufficient to examine, review, and verify various legal and administrative documents and review investigative reports for evaluation and determination of non-compliance and conduct audits/research of individual case files to determine accuracy and resolve inconsistencies; Experience with research techniques used to extract and compile data from files in order to make appropriate comparisons and develop recommendations; Oral and written communications techniques to be able to handle inquiries and complaints, as well as provide legal and administrative information. This is generally demonstrated by assignments where you received and answered routine/non-complex written and verbal requests for information concerning legal transactions under review by the office, provided status of these transactions under consideration, reasons for exclusions, procedures involved in the approval process, and answers to other general questions.
