SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS: A qualified candidate’s online application and resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level GS-13 in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position is defined as meeting ALL of the following: Administering financial assistance agreements during the pre-award, post-award, closeout, and auditing stages, while ensuring compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and policies. Providing technical and administrative support, leadership, and guidance to team members on financial assistance actions. Monitoring and reporting on the status of work assigned to the division, checking on work in-progress, reviewing completed work, and ensuring deadlines have been met. “Experience” refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. This position is part of the EERE: Golden Field Office, Financial Assistance Office. As a Program Communications Specialist, you will be serving as a Supervisory Division Director. Your role will be responsible for activities related to the award and administration of assigned financial assistance instruments (grants, cooperative agreements) and financial assistance policy development and implementation. This position is Remote Restricted to Golden, Colorado.
