Senior Contract Specialist, NF-05

QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE CLEARLY VERIFIABLE IN YOUR RESUME. GOVERNMENT POSITIONS MUST INCLUDE PAY PLAN, SERIES, GRADE, TO AND FROM DATES, AND GOVERNMENT AGENCY/DEPARTMENT. Must include at least one year of experience performing duties at a level which equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to perform successfully in the position. Work experience directly related to the duties described above managing complex, multi-million dollar procurements requiring source selection procedures. Extensive knowledge of procurement regulations, contract laws, acquisition planning; Government and commercial procurement practices, contract policies and procedures; and knowledge and skill in negotiation techniques. Possess proven leadership and customer service abilities, and the ability to meet stringent deadlines in a fast-paced environment. Must possess or be able to obtain Certified Professional Contract Manager (CPCM), Defense Acquisition Workforce Improvement Act (DAWIA) II/III in contracting or other applicable professional certification. Must have excellent organizational skills; be highly skilled in written and verbal communications; especially presentation skills. Must be proficient in Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, Standard NAF Automated Contracting System (SNACS) and other related software as required. Preferred are those candidates who possess a bachelor’s or a Master’s degree in any combination of the following fields: accounting, business, finance, law, contracts, purchasing, economics, industrial management, marketing, quantitative methods, or organization and management, and CPCM, DAWIA II/III in contracting or other applicable professional certification. Minimum of 5 years work experience directly relating to contracting for requirements over the simplified acquisition threshold (over $250) utilizing formal source selection procedures.
