SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: In order to qualify for this position, your resume must provide sufficient experience and/or education, knowledge, skills, and abilities, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are being considered. Specialized experience is defined as experience that is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled and has equipped you with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities, to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: FOR GS-11 (one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-09): Experience with education and training principles, techniques, and practices. Experience conducting training courses for trades, military, technical and professional personnel involved in radiological controls associated with the Shipyard’s nuclear propulsion plant programs. Experience training and instructing employees to perform assigned tasks efficiently and effectively. Experience updating, establishing, and/or improving assigned courses related to the field of submarine overhaul and maintenance. Experience incorporating the latest developments and integrating subjects into instruction. FOR GS-09 (one year of specialized experience equivalent to GS-07): Experience assisting with education and training principles, techniques, and practices related to the field of submarine overhaul and maintenance. Experience assisting with updating, establishing, and/or improving assigned courses. Experience assisting with incorporating the latest developments and integration of subjects into instruction. You will serve as a TRAINING INSTRUCTOR in the PRODUCTION RESOURCE/FACILITIES MAINTENANCE TRAINING DIVISION, PRODUCTION RESOURCES DEPARTMENT of PORTSMOUTH NAVAL SHIPYARD.
