Ability to work independently Ability to organize, plan, administer special events and entertainment activities Knowledge of goals, principles and techniques and procedures used in organizing, planning and conducting leisure time activities. Knowledge of the Navy MWR mission and entire scope of Community Recreation activities and their suitability for individuals, groups, ages and interests Individual must be responsible with a pleasant, courteous attitude who can communicate effectively with the public Work is performed both indoors and outdoors under varied weather conditions This position is required to do considerable standing, bending, stooping, walking, pushing, climbing and lifting of objects weighing up to 50 pounds unassisted A neat and clean appearance required Will need to collect and accurately record cash transactions, and operate a cash register Flexible 0-40 hours per week, Schedule can include nights, weekends and holidays

The Morale, Welfare, and Recreation (MWR) department of Commander, Navy Installations Command (CNIC) provides fitness, recreation, lodging and food and beverage programs for service members, their families, retired military and civilian employees.This position is assigned to the Non-Appropriated Fund (NAF) Fitness, Sports, and Deployed Support Branch; Fleet Readiness; Commander, Navy Installations command (CNIC); Naval Base Kitsap – Bangor.
