Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of an Electronics Mechanic without more than normal supervision. Inspections, tests, maintenance and repair of a variety of standard issue and commercial training aid devices. I can complete diagnostics, disassembly, repair or replacement of defective components or assemblies; aligning, adjusting and testing all devices and equipment for normal operation. – Failure to meet this Screen Out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Ability To Do The Work Of The Position Without More Than Normal Supervision (Screen-out Element) Knowledge of Equipment Assembly, Installation, Repair, etc. Trouble shooting (Electronic Equipment) Use of Test Equipment: Electronics PHYSICAL EFFORTS: Work assignments involve standing, climbing, bending and occasional work in cramped and awkward positions. Usually handles objects weighing from 10 to 40 pounds and occasionally objects weighing in excess of 40 pounds. WORKING CONDITIONS: Work is usually performed indoors in well-lighted, heated and ventilated areas. Work outside is normally done in good weather, however emergency situations sometimes require working under poor weather conditions. Exposed to the possibility of cuts, bruises, scrapes, broken bones and serious burns caused by electrical shock, RF energy and hot components. Exposed to Possible injury from ruptured pneumatic, hydraulic and compressed gas line failure during high pressure testing or operation.
