If you are a new federal employee, your starting salary will likely be set at the Step 1 of the grade for which you are selected. To qualify, you must have at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 level or higher in the Federal service. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Specialized experience is experience in providing advice and assistance to the business community on the Federal procurement/contracting process and the development of marketing strategies and materials. Examples of such experience include: providing advice and guidance to the business community on procedures necessary to participate in Federal procurement and disposal programs and contracting activities; providing advice on introducing new products or services for Federal use; promoting the sales of goods and services of an organization; etc.
The Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization (OSDBU) is responsible for nationwide responsibility for GSAs small business programs and is the chief advocate for small businesses within GSA. Incumbent is responsible for providing advice on a variety of small business programs and initiatives. Location of position: Martin Luther King, JR Federal Building, 77 Forsyth Street, Atlanta, Georgia We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
