This Position may be filled as a TERM Appointment NTE 2 years. Term Appointments may be extended beyond six (6) years, up to eight (8) years. With DoD approval, Term appointments may be extended beyond eight (8) years. Current permanent Federal employees (to include permanent Army employees) applying for a Term appointment will be appointed/converted into a TERM appointment with no statutory return rights back to a permanent position. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes evaluating the planning, programming, and/or budgeting of digital transformation efforts; providing recommendations and solutions, addressing organizational data/technology gaps and needs; providing clarity on issues effecting network and cyber strategic management programs, such as emerging technology, changing mission requirements, and/or legislation; developing strategic management program objectives to achieve mission goals. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-14). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Leadership Planning and Evaluating Requirements Analysis Strategic Planning Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-14).
About the Position: This position is located with the Office of the Deputy Chief of Staff, G6 IT Planning and Programs Division, Arlington, VA. Serve as the Digital (DD) Program Evaluation Group (PEG) Portfolio Manager in the Plans and Programming Division, Program Resource Integration (PRI) Directorate, Deputy Chief of Staff, G-6, Headquarters Department of the Army (HQDA).
