You must meet the Specialized Experience to qualify for Veterans Employment Specialist, as described below. To qualify for GS-0301-13: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-12 in the Federal Service, that demonstrates the knowledge, skills, and abilities to perform successfully in the duties of this position. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Qualifying specialized experience for the GS-13 includes performing the following: Experience reviewing, monitoring, and analyzing program and financial performance data to determine effectiveness of grant programs, the causes of identified issues, and recommend corrective actions to ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and policies. Experience using processes, and methods to gather, analyze, and evaluate information or data and draw conclusions towards determination of compliance with laws and regulations.
This position is located in the Department of Labor, Veterans Employment and Training Service. Incumbent serves as the State Director for the Veterans Employment and Training Service (VETS) in Phoenix, Arizonia. This position is outside of the bargaining unit. This is not a virtual position.
