SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: – Experience implementing approved proposals of various projects to include but not limited to Sustainment, Restoration and Modernization (SRM) and Projects and Military Construction (MILCON) Projects – Experience advising, counseling and mentoring a team to ensure completion of assigned work and resolving conflicts between personnel – Experience in implementing a broad technical knowledge and understanding of scientific and engineering of all disciplines (structural, mechanical, electrical/electronics and civil) in the application of ship maintenance, repair, construction, and operation – Experience executing Naval Ship overhaul processes including production, planning, engineering and scheduling – Experience displaying a high level of managerial skills and interpreting, organizing and coordinating unique and complex assignments, defining problems and developing the best approach to the planning of work for a wide variety of extensive engineering projects and programs – Experience displaying clear and concise written and oral communication skills to permit interface at the division and department head levels and serving as the authority for the branch with the ability to interpret and/or prepare formal and informal technical and authoritative reports and data. You will serve as a SUPERVISORY GENERAL ENGINEER in the Production Facilities and Equipment Management Assistant Division Head (Code 980D), Production Engineering Manager Division (Code 980), Production Facilities and Equipment Manager (Code 900F), Production Resources Department (Code 900) of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
