Senior Industrial Engineer (Process Quality)

One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis. Specialized experience for the GS-14: Specialized experience for the GS-14 is fifty-two (52) weeks of experience at the GS-13 level or equivalent in other public or private sectors, that is directly related to the position as listed in this announcement and which has equipped the candidate with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position. Specialized experience is defined as: – Providing leadership and recommendations for quality systems processes; AND – Reviewing product and tooling drawings and enable configuration management; AND – Planning, coordinating and developing multi-site standardization and improvement strategies; AND – Executing effective corrective and preventative actions to quality systems processes. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-14 you must have been at the GS-13 level for 52 weeks.
This position is located at the U.S. Mint in Washington, D.C. as part of the Manufacturing Department/Quality Assurance Division. The purpose of this position is to provide leadership in developing strategies to enhance the overall quality of products produced at the facilities. The incumbent serves as a leader and a resource regarding production process quality issues, problem solving and continuous improvement efforts, and participating on product design teams to ensure manufacturability.
