Administrative Support Assistant (OA) ZS-0303-III To qualify for the ZS-III position, applicants must meet one of the following: One year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-4 (ZS-II for NIST). Specialized experience is defined as experience in utilizing administrative/clerical skill and automated systems to process time and attendance; make travel and conference arrangements, manage multiple calendars, review correspondence for procedural and grammatical accuracy, respond to non-technical correspondence, maintain an office filing system, compile and enter information into, and retrieve information from various automated programs. OR 4 years of education above high school OR An equivalent combination of experience and/or post-high school education In addition to the above minimum qualification requirements, applicants must be able to type 40 wpm. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
