Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) Experience as a project manager, project engineer, or project architect leading the architecture/engineering task order acquisition and subsequent planning and design process for major vertical facility construction projects; AND 2) Experience leading major construction contract acquisitions through source selections and subsequent leadership of the construction contract execution for major vertical facility construction projects; AND 3) Experience controlling project milestones and budgets throughout the entire program lifecycle. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone–no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Communications Planning and Evaluating Program Management Technical Competence Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
About the Position: Serves as a Chief, Program Management Office (PMO) for assigned United States army Corp of Engineers (USACE) program management within the Omaha District Military Programs Branch. These projects/programs are located in the Omaha District Military Programs and will be generally focused on a specific geographic area, program, and/or major stakeholder. This area is extremely diverse in its geography, physical, biological and socio-economic environment.
