Basic Requirement GS-13: Degree: Bachelor’s degree (or higher degree) in computer science or bachelor’s degree (or higher degree) with 30 semester hours in a combination of mathematics, statistics, and computer science. At least 15 of the 30 semester hours must have included any combination of statistics and mathematics that included differential and integral calculus. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the qualification requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: To qualify for GS-13 grade level or equivalency, you must have one year of specialized experience equivalent to at least the GS-12 level in Federal service which includes: 1) Applying theoretical foundations of computer science; 2) Leveraging cloud technologies to optimize water resource management; 3) Designing characteristics, limitations, and potential applications of systems having the ability to transform information; 4) Understanding of relevant mathematical and statistical sciences; AND 5) Interpreting applications which have common structures, processes, and techniques. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal service (GS-12). Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12). This announcement MAY be used to fill like vacancies six months from the closing date. All qualification requirements, including time after competitive appointment, must be met within 30 days of the job opportunity announcement closing date.

This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. This position may be filled at the following locations: Hanover, New Hampshire Huntington, West Virginia Hanover, New Hampshire: $116,820 – $151,870 Huntington, West Virginia: $103,409 – $134,435
