Minimum Qualifications (Screen Out Element): Ability to do the work of a(n) Mobile Equipment Servicer ~ without more than normal supervision. 1) Complete preventive maintenance and work order services such as: checking fluid levels, replacing fluids, cleaning battery boxes, flushing radiators, lubricating fittings, oil and can points, etc.; 2) Operate Government vehicles to bring indoors for repairs, service and initial or final road test; 3) Remove and replace parts such as hydraulic fluids, oil filters, exhaust pipes, batteries, air cleaners, replacing seals, lubricating fittings, and/ or light bulbs; 4) Operate a computer/ automated system. – Failure to meet this Screen out Element will result in an ineligible rating. Physical Effort: Works in awkward positions on top of equipment at height up to 18 feet above ground and underneath vehicles by use of a creeper. Frequently required to bend, climb or reach in cramped and tight spaces. Frequently lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds such as cans, drums, and petroleum products. Occasionally lifts heavier items with the assistance of other workers or lifting equipment Working Conditions: Work is performed either inside or outside. When working inside there is frequent exposure to drafts, dirt, fumes, dust, loud noises, oil and grease. Often subject to cuts, bruises, and burns. Occasionally exposed to changing temperatures, inclement weather, and cold or damp conditions when working outside
