You must meet the Specialized Experience to qualify for Supervisory Program Operations Specialist, as described below. For GS-14: Applicants must have 52 weeks of specialized experience equivalent to at least the next lower grade level GS-13 in the Federal Service. Specialized Experience is the experience that equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities (KSA’s) to perform the duties of the position successfully, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level. Qualifying specialized experience for GS-14 includes: Experience in the interpretation of DOL policies, regulations, directives, program objectives and missions of various organizations serviced. Experience applying management principles and techniques to provide direction to staff performing duties associated with financial and/or administrative services. Demonstrated skill in communicating effectively both orally and in writing to convey recommendations. Demonstrated skill in analyzing problems and applying sound judgment to make recommendations and decisions to resolve problems. Knowledge of and skill in applying supervisory/managerial techniques in providing critical guidance to staff and officials.
This position is in the U.S. Department of Labor (DOL), Office of the Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management (OASAM), Office of Field Operations (OFO), Division of Customer Engagement and Strategic Operations, Customer Engagement Branch. Work consists of coordination and administration of the delivery of field services to all DOL employees outside the National Capital Region. This position is Supervisory and outside the bargaining unit.
