To be eligible for consideration, you must first meet the Basic Education Requirement for GS-0401 series for this position, having: A. Degree: A 4-year degree from an accredited college or university leading to a bachelor’s or higher degree in the biological sciences, agriculture, natural resource management, chemistry or related disciplines appropriate to this position. OR B. Combination of education and experience: Courses equivalent to a major, as shown above, plus appropriate experience or additional education. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENT: In addition to meeting the basic education requirement, you must also meet the qualifications below: GS-12: Specialized Experience: One full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service or its non-Federal equivalent that included experience providing technical guidance or oversight on matters such as administration of permits, water or land resources, recreation resources; preparing resource management plans and documentation; and leading a team on resource project. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. You must meet all Eligibility and Qualification requirements, including any selective placement factors if applicable, by 11/15/2024.
