SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS A qualified candidate’s resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) in the Federal service. Specialized Experience is defined as: 1) Planning, scheduling, and conducting compliance driven projects and analyses; 2) Evaluating organizational performance and recommending ways to improve business processes and procedures; 3) Planning, organizing, and leading or conducting projects, studies, and analyses to implement management and process improvement principles; 4) Performing project management functions including defining project scope, requirements, and deliverables. “Experience” refers to paid and unpaid experience. Examples of qualifying unpaid experience may include: volunteer work done through National Service programs (such as Peace Corps and AmeriCorps); as well as work for other community-based philanthropic and social organizations. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills; and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. This position is located in the Power Services (P), Bonneville Power Administration (BPA). The purpose of this position is to serve as a senior analyst and project manager responsible for planning, organizing, conducting, and leading projects, studies, and other initiatives to determine and improve the efficiency, effectiveness, and productivity of Power Services programs, systems, and processes.
