You must meet the United States Office of Personnel Management’s (OPM) qualification requirements (including specialized experience and/or educational requirements) for the advertised position. Specialized Experience is experience that has equipped applicants with the particular knowledge, skills and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position, and that is typically in or related to the position to be filled. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the next lower grade level in the federal service. GS13: The next lower grade level is equivalent to the GS12. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience developing education programs which are focused on intellectual property, particularly patents and trademarks and business development, including connecting individuals and businesses to government based resources. Experience developing implementing and documenting a strategic plan to engage in IP related discussions with the appropriate contact in appropriate organizations. Experience establishing, maintaining, enhancing and monitoring effective collaborative working relationships with local and regional businesses and institutions. GS14: The next lower grade level is equivalent to the GS13. Specialized experience for this position includes: Experience overseeing education programs which are focused on intellectual property, particularly patents and trademarks and business development, including connecting individuals and businesses to government based resources. Experience managing a strategic plan to engage in IP related discussions with the appropriate contact in appropriate organizations. Experience establishing, maintaining, enhancing and monitoring effective collaborative working relationships with local and regional businesses and institutions.
