To qualify for this position, your resume must state sufficient experience and/or education, to perform the duties of the specific position for which you are applying. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Candidates for this position will be evaluated under the federal wage system job grading standards for WG-5703. No specific length of experience is required. Applicants will be rated on the basis of their response to the assessment questions included in the vacancy announcement and the information contained in their resume. Your qualifications will first be evaluated against the prescribed screen out elements. Failure to meet the screen out elements will result in an ineligible rating. SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT: A valid State Driver’s License is required to operate government-owned or -leased motor vehicles. SCREEN-OUT ELEMENT: Ability to do the work of the position without more than normal supervision. PHYSICAL EFFORT Light physical effort is used in reaching, bending, turning, or moving hands, arms, feet, and legs to operate hand controls on vehicles operated. When hauling supplies and equipment may be required to lift objects weighing less or more than 50 pounds. When performing custodial duties physical effort is involved in moving and controlling heavy powered equipment, carrying and setting up ladders and scaffolding, etc. Must frequently lift and move objects weighing up to or over 50 pounds. You must meet all qualification requirements within 30 days of the closing date of the announcement. All applicants tentatively selected for this position will be required to submit to urinalysis to screen for illegal drug use prior to appointment and be subject to random, reasonable suspicion, and post-accident drug testing upon hiring. Appointment to the position will be contingent upon a negative applicant drug test result.
This position is located at the Cheyenne River Health Center in Eagle Butte, SD. The primary purpose of this position is to operate a variety of Motor Vehicles to provide transportation services. The incumbent will also perform a full range of Custodial Worker tasks. Work schedule will be on a rotating shift basis as required by the needs of the hospital. This position requires motor vehicle operators to be on-call and call back status.
