Specialized Experience: One-year specialized experience in which includes planning, developing, coordinating and implementing processes and procedures to manage assigned projects inclusive of varied complex features concerning functional, technical, and administrative project aspects and leading project delivery teams (PDTs); participating in and/or conducts negotiations with contractors for project cost and timelines; utilizing qualitative methods for the assessment and improvement of program effectiveness or the improvement of complex management processes and systems related to projects; recommending cost effective means of collecting data from the field and means of categorizing this data to ensure proper application to future projects. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the Federal Service (GS-12). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Customer Service (Clerical/Technical) Financial Management Leadership Problem Solving Project Management Writing Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
About the Position: Serve as Project Manager for a variety of programs which may include physical and electronic security systems; utility monitoring and control systems; ranges and training lands management; energy privatization and competitive sourcing; energy analysis, validation, and execution; facility and utility operation, maintenance, repair, rehabilitation, and demolition; furnishings; medical facility operation, and other activities of entities relative to assigned programs.
