Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes assisting in daily operation of a medical waste management program; assisting in monitoring appropriate usage of all linen items within a medical center; assisting in conducting inspections on hospital grounds to adhere to environmental sanitation standards; assisting managers with human resource management for the department; assisting in consolidating budget information to determine yearly cost allocations. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-11). Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone–no substitution of education for experience is permitted. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Budget Administration Compliance Inspection and Program Management Leadership Organizational Awareness Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-11).
About the Position: Serves as Chief, Environmental Services Branch, Hospital Housekeeping Officer and Contracting Officer Representative (COR) responsible for carrying out the installation and administration for housekeeping, interior design, linen, laundry controls, regulated medical waste, non-regulated waste, and recycling at Camp Pendleton, California.
