Supervisory Air Traffic Control Specialist (Support Manager, MSS-3)

Candidates must show specialized experience. Specialized experience is defined as: 1. Must have held an FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or above regional or headquarters position for at least 1 year (52 weeks); OR 2. Must have been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) at an ATS facility {NOTE: An employee who has been facility rated or area certified for at least 1 year (52 weeks) at an ATS facility who is upgraded is considered to have met the qualification requirements of the higher-level position, since he/she has been performing the higher-graded work}; OR 3. Must have held an MSS position for at least 1 year (52 weeks) in an ATS facility {reference NOTE above}. IN ADDITION applicants must currently hold or have held the position of MSS-2 or higher for at least 1 year (52 weeks) or a FAA 2152 FV-J/FG-14 or higher (not a CPC) in a Headquarters or Region position for at least 1 year (52 weeks). QUALIFICATIONS MUST BE MET BY THE CLOSING DATE OF THIS ANNOUNCEMENT.
Serves as a Support Manager at an ATC-9 terminal facility responsible for planning and directing the operations within the facility.
