Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Proficiency Required: This position requires a qualified typist. A qualified typist can type 40 words per minute based on a 5 minute sample with three or fewer errors. Experience Required: To qualify based on your experience, your resume must describe at least one year of experience which prepared you to do the work in this job. One year of specialized experience which includes 1) providing administrative support of patient care and treatment within a medical environment with task encompassing scheduling appointments, responding to inquiries, and managing patient check-ins and check-outs, etc., 2) understanding and deciphering Dental and Medical terminology for proper input or usage, 3) utilizing automated systems such as Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other Windows Software Applications to input and access information. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04).
About the Position: This is a permanent position with Army Dental Clinic Moncrief. Moncrief Army Health Clinic is located on Fort Jackson, South Carolina and is part of the 82 square mile military installation located adjacent to the state capital of Columbia. This is a Direct Hire Solicitation
