PRIMARY PREVENTION SPECIALIST (PREV WF)

SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: (GS-09): Must possess at least One (1) year of specialized experiences at the GS-07 level; AND/OR at least Twenty-four (24) months experience, education or training equivalent to at least the next lower grade level analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various social science resources; experience utilizing the organization, its mission and the organizational staff procedures; experience interacting with a variety of groups and/or individuals; and the ability to apply analytical and evaluative techniques to the identification, consideration, and resolution of issues or problems of a social science procedural or factual nature. (GS-11): Must possess at least One (1) year of specialized experiences at the GS-09 level; AND/OR at least Thirty-six (36) months experience or training analyzing problems, identifying significant factors, gathering pertinent data and recognizing solutions; preparing reports, plans, policies and various correspondence; evaluating objectives and develop plans to facilitate the availability and effective utilization of various social science resources; must have knowledge of the organization and its mission and utilized the organizational staff procedures; experience applying analytical and evaluative techniques to issues or studies concerning the efficiency and effectiveness of social science program operations carried out by administrative or professional personnel, or substantive administrative support functions. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT & NOTES: 1. Must be able to obtain and maintain a secret security clearance. The incumbent of this position description must have at a minimum, a completed National Agency Check (NAC) prior to position assignment. 2. This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968. An individual convicted of a qualifying crime of domestic violence may not perform the duties of this position. 3. Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission. *4. Irregular and/or overtime (compensatory) hours may be required to support operational requirements or contingencies or may be required to work hours outside of the normal duty day. 5. May require travel in military and/or commercial aircraft to perform temporary duty assignments. 6. The work may require the incumbent to drive a motor vehicle; if so, and an appropriate valid driver’s license is mandatory. 7. This is a National Guard dual status technician position which requires military membership.
THIS IS A NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 32 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION. This position is located at the ARNG Brigade with/or without geographically separated units (GSU)/ ARNG Region located in a State that is divided into multiple regions (within the State) not servicing one specific BDE. DEFINITION OF AREA(S) OF CONSIDERATION: Area 1 = Officer, Warrant Officer, and Enlisted members of the Louisiana National Guard.
