To qualify, you must have at least: 1) Successful completion of a full course of study in a school of law accredited by the American Bar Association and possession of at least the initial professional law degree (J.D.); 2) Bar Membership: You must be an active member of the bar; in good standing of a State, a Territory of the United States, District of Columbia or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico; and 3) Experience: Applicant must have at least 4 years of relevant legal experience commensurate with the duties and responsibilities of the position, with an emphasis on procurement law and litigation of government contracts, and/or contractual dispute litigation.
As an Attorney-Adviser, you will be responsible for providing legal counsel to the Board, editing decisions and other documents, responding to FOIA requests, and communicating with the public, federal agencies, and litigants regarding the Boards procedures and rules. Location of position: General Services Administration, Civilian Board of Contract Appeals (CBCA), 1800 M St, NW, Washington, DC. We are currently filling one vacancy, but additional vacancies may be filled as needed.
