Additional information about transcripts is in this document. Basic Requirement for Supervisory Education and Training Specialist GS-1701-13: A. Degree: Bachelor’s degree (or higher degree) that included or was supplemented by major study in Education or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, such as Curriculum and Instruction. OR B. Combination of Education and Experience: Courses equivalent to a major in Education, or in a subject-matter field appropriate to the position, such as Curriculum and Instruction, plus appropriate experience or additional course work that provided knowledge comparable to that normally acquired through the successful completion of the four-year course of study described in A above. IN ADDITION TO THE ABOVE BASIC REQUIREMENT, YOU MUST MEET THE FOLLOWING EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes Experience directing an instructional/educational program; Experience developing and recommending solutions for issues directly affecting the accomplishment of the educational programs and product objectives; Experience providing technical and administrative direction and leadership to assigned personnel such as developing performance plans and rating employees. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service GS-12. You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education / Training Program Administration Leadership Manages and Organizes Information Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-12).
