Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience Requirements: GS-09: One year of specialized experience includes meeting any two of the following: 1) Provide technical oversight of construction contracts; 2) develop and/or review plans, specifications, and estimates for proposed projects; such as, engineering or construction management; and 3) develop and submit contract usage and cost reports utilizing excel/Microsoft Project for management. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-08). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS).For GS-09: 52 weeks at GS-08
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for Certain Personnel of the DoD Workforce to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: The Operations Division is the center of technical competence for operations and matters in the New England District. The Cape Cod Canal Project includes two hurricane barriers and 7 recreational areas. The Cape Cod Canal Field Office is located in Buzzards Bay.
