Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate Specialized Experience: Must have one year of specialized experience at the next lower GS-grade (or equivalent) in the competencies/knowledge, skills and abilities listed. Specialized experience is experience that has equipped the applicant with the particular competencies/knowledge, skills, and abilities to successfully perform the duties of the position and is typically in or related to the work of the position to be filled. Such experience is typically gained in the IT field or through the performance of work where the primary concern is IT. Knowledge, Skill, and Abilities (KSAs): Applicants are strongly encouraged to submit a separate sheet(s) addressing the Knowledge, Skills and Abilities (KSAs) and how they relate to work experience, education or training. Skill to provide administrative control and technical supervision over personnel responsible for oversight of network services functions and systems administration of information technology. Knowledge of Communications Flight organizational structure and programs administered by each section in order to establish short and long range communications goals and priorities to meet Wing IT requirements. Skill to review, revise, and develop policies to govern IT activities and present recommendations to higher-level management. Skill to provide authoritative technical advice/solutions to communications customers and ensure an integrated approach to satisfy requirements.
This National Guard position is for a SUPV IT SPECIALIST (PLCYPLN), Position Description Number NGT572000 and is part of 114 CF in Sioux Falls, SD. This is a National Guard Title 5 Excepted Service position. A Title 32 announcement will run concurrently, only one will be selected. AREAS OF CONSIDERATION: -Current permanent or indefinite T32 and T5 technicians within the South Dakota National Guard.
