All personnel applying for this position who do not meet the minimum military grade requirement MUST provide the proper signed memorandum from your respective Military Personnel Office (MILPO for ARNG, FSS for ANG) to prove eligibility to obtain the required grade upon accepting the position. All personnel who exceed the maximum military rank must provide a memorandum explaining if selected for this position, you will accept an administrative reduction in rank. The memorandum must be submitted WITH your application to be considered for this position. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: Must have at least 1 year of experience in the next or equivalent to the lower grade. Experience in executing the unit Emergency Management (EM), Chemical Biological Radiological Nuclear (CBRN), and Hazardous Material (HAZMAT) emergency response, logistics, and training programs. Developing, managing, and executing the EM programs, ensuring all military, civilian and contract personnel are trained and equipped to support home station and worldwide contingency operations. Emergency Management programs and work include areas such as preparedness and response, training and exercises, activation and mobilization of resources, ongoing emergency and command operations, response and recovery operations, continuity planning and operations, uninterrupted execution of mission-essential functions, communications, logistics, hazard risk assessment, hazard effects, hazard classification, and collaborating with stakeholders and partners (e.g., Federal, State, Local, Territories, Tribes, international entities, foreign governments, community groups, non-governmental organizations, and the private sector). Emergency Management work also includes occupant emergency planning, crisis management, continuity of operations and government, mission assurance, and resiliency activities. SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Must have 2 years of experience managing an emergency management office within the Air National Guard. Experience in managing the function of the work to be performed. Experience which includes leading, directing and assigning work of personnel.
