SUPERVISORY FIRE PROTECTION INSPECTOR

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector performing the following duties: 1) Responding to medical and fire emergencies in the capacity of leadership role; 2) Reviewing sites of hazardous materials incidents and fires to inspect/evaluate the scene; 3) Presenting public fire protection and life safety educational programs to general public and tenant commands; and 4) Preparing correspondence and inspection reports, maintaining reports, performing research, interpreting codes, and implementing policy. This position requires the incumbent to possess the following certifications: Fire Officer III, Fire Inspector III, Fire Instructor II, HAZMAT Incident Commander, Hazmat Technician, Airport Firefighter, Firefighter I/II and NREMT. These certifications must have been awarded by DOD, IFSAC or Pro-board to meet the requirement. Copies of Certifications MUST be submitted with your application to verify eligibility. If you do not possess all of the above certifications you will be rated ineligible. You will serve as a Supervisory Fire Protection Inspector in the Fire and Emergency Services Department of NAS KEY WEST located in Key West, Florida.
