Specialized Experience: For the GS-13, you must have one year of experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-12 in the Federal service which is in or directly related to the line of work of this position. Experience for this position includes: reviewing program-related requests for modifications, proposals, and quotation documents; completing program management documentation (e.g. project schedules, evaluations, test plans, invoices, etc.) and maintaining related records including housing in a document repository; and researching and interpreting program risks, budget and/or finance guidelines, rules, regulations, and policies. Education: Education cannot substitute for experience at this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer.
