Who May Apply: US Citizens In order to qualify, you must meet the experience requirements described below. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. To qualify for the GS-11 grade level, you must have: I have one year specialized experience equivalent to the GS-10 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Five (5) years of specialized experience maintaining and troubleshooting AC and DC power systems, conduit bending and threading, oscilloscope understanding and usage, and liquid filled battery maintenance. To qualify for the GS-12 grade level, you must have: I have one year of specialized experience equivalent to the GS-11 grade level in the Federal service which includes: Ten (10) years of specialized experience maintaining and troubleshooting AC and DC power systems, conduit bending and threading, oscilloscope understanding and usage, and liquid filled battery maintenance.
This is a Direct Hire Authority (DHA) solicitation utilizing the DHA for certain Competitive Service Positions to recruit and appoint qualified candidates to positions in the competitive service. About the Position: Serves as Engineering Technician (Electrical) responsible for design engineering and contract administration of a variety of electrical features and related electrical systems.
