WG-11: This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of a Utilities Systems Operator without more than normal supervision, performing duties such as: 1) Disassembling, repairing and rebuilding component parts of plant machinery and equipment to ensure proper operation the mechanisms 2) Reading and interpreting blueprints, sketches, drawings, oral and written instructions; and 3) Using measuring and test equipment (e.g. micrometers, flowmeter fluid, precision levels) to ensure proper treatment of waste water. I work under supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who reviews my work for completion. The Screen-out Element for this position is: Ability to do the work of a Utilities Systems Operator without more than normal supervision, performing duties such as: 1) Interpreting and applying the requirements contained in technical manuals, shop drawings, and blueprints; 2) Using and operating equipment and tools needed to ensure proper operation of systems; and) Applying shop mathematics sufficiently to perform assignments. I work under close supervision of a work leader or journey-level employee who observes tasks in progress and upon completion to make sure they are properly performed.
