TRAFFIC MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Traffic Management Specialist experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector demonstrating comprehensive knowledge of CONUS and OCONUS traffic management processes as they apply to ordnance, transportation modes, MILSTRIP transactions and all facets of global inventory management of the naval ammunition stockpile to include: cataloging, requirements determination, support for ordnance maintenance/modification programs, inventory assessment, load plan compliance/training, material distribution, requisition processing, transactional data quality, and crisis response. Examples of specialized experience may include the following: 1) Provides material transportation/traffic management support, obtain and track status of shipments of naval ordnance assets; 2) Provides daily review of requisition listings and evaluating the qualifications of requirements based on urgency and purpose to determine the optimum and cost effective shipping mode; 3) Utilizes traffic management related systems such as Ordnance Information System- Wholesale (OIS-W), Ordnance Information System-Retail (OIS-R), Integrated Data Environment (IDE) and Global Transportation Network (GTN), Convergence (IGC), Single Mobility system (SMS), and Munitions Transportation Management System (MTMS); 4) Applies knowledge of ordnance concepts, to include lot numbers, Maintenance Due Dates (MDD), shelf and service life and condition codes; and 5) Communicates effectively, both orally and in writing to support various customers. You will serve as a Traffic Management Specialist in the Naval Ordnance Logistics Coordination Branch (NOLCB) of the Supply Chain Execution (SCE) Division, of NAVSUP AMMO LOG CENT MECH.
