You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. Basic Requirements: Applicants MUST:(1) be a graduate of an accredited law school with an LL.B. or J.D.; from a law school accredited by the American Bar Association (ABA) ABA Approved Law Schools; (2) be a current member of a bar with a valid license to practice law in a state, territory of the United States, District of Columbia, or Commonwealth of Puerto Rico; and(3) meet all specialized experience requirements as described in the vacancy announcement. Specialized experience: For the GS-15, you must have at least 24 months of specialized experience at the GS-14 grade level, or equivalent, that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized Experience includes: – Experience conducting depositions; OR – Experience conducting witness and subject interviews; OR – Experience conducting complex investigations OR responding to government investigations; OR – Experience writing investigative reports. Specialized experience: For the GS-14, you must have at least 24 months of specialized experience at the GS-13 grade level, or equivalent, that has equipped the applicant with the particular knowledge, skills, and abilities needed to successfully perform the duties of this position. Specialized Experience includes: – Experience conducting legal research; AND – Experience providing recommendations; AND – Experience expressing factual and legal conclusions using oral and written communication skills.
This position is located at Department of Housing and Urban Development AIG, Office of Special Inquiry. As an Attorney-Adviser (General), you will be responsible for conducting and supervising audits, evaluations and investigations related to the programs and operations of the Department; providing leadership and coordination and recommending policies for activities designed to promote economy, efficiency, and effectiveness in their administration.
