** ONLY RECRUITING FOR THE GS-9/11 GRADE LEVELS WITH PROMOTION POTENTIAL TO THE GS-12 GRADE LEVEL. ** GS-11 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-9 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying a thorough knowledge of the full range of principles, concepts and practices related to surface combatant ship repair and overhaul programs including ship modernization. Experience being capable of recommending alternatives to assist in solving technical problems associated with all facets of ship maintenance, some of which can be complex. Experience possessing knowledge of organizational structures of large industrial operations including such functions as administration, contracting, engineering, production, material supply systems, and workload scheduling. Experience applying a required broad knowledge of Environmental and Occupational Safety and Health regulations and ensure adherence by all personnel daily. GS-9 Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-7 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience applying a working knowledge of the full range of principles, concepts and practices related to surface combatant ship repair and overhaul programs including ship modernization. Experience applying knowledge of organizational structures of large industrial operations including such functions as administration, contracting, engineering, production, material supply systems, and workload scheduling. Experience applying a required working knowledge in the use of automated data processing equipment and various software programs mandated for government use. Experience implementing technical writing skills to develop detailed reports, recommendations, planning documents and correspondence concerning labor conditions, production costs, methods, processes and material costs related to the ship repair industry as well as government and local practices.
