Legal Administrative Specialist

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-07 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1) Prioritizing and organizing time and duties to accomplish multiple tasks and manage the critical, time- sensitive exchange of information; 2) Conducting initial intake and review/analysis of all requests for information and witnesses related to civil litigation to determine whether or not such requests include the proper content; 3) Interacting with litigation information requesters and various commands to answer procedural and substantive questions regarding requests received by those commands, and makes appropriate decisions/recommendations pertaining to those inquiries; 4) Performing legal research on the diverse topics and issues pertaining to civil cases assigned to this office or, when needed, other areas of special interest, using both electronic and traditional legal research method; 5) Assisting litigation attorneys to maintain case files and prepare litigation documents (e.g., preparing computer-generated tables of authorities and tables of contents for legal memoranda; digitizing documents; and assists with correspondence); 6) Supporting all division personnel by preparing case files, assigning tracking numbers; assigning file numbers to closed cases, transporting files to storage, and maintaining/archiving/ purging files (including digit al records management) pursuant to office and departmental document-retention policies and regulations.
