You must meet the following requirements by the closing date of this announcement. For the GS-07, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Researching laws, regulations, guidelines; OR Applying accounting or auditing standards in a work setting. OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows:One full year of graduate level education in a related field; or Superior Academic Achievement based on a bachelor’s degree that is demonstrated through class standing (upper 1/3 of class); or grade point average (3.0/4.0 overall or 3.5/4.0 in major), or election to membership in a qualifying national scholastic honor society. OR You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions.For the GS-09, you must have one year of specialized experience at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Working for a tax administration organization that includes responsibility for documenting results of audits, projects, or analyses in written documents; OR Applying accounting or auditing principles to gather and analyze data and draw conclusions. OR You may substitute education for specialized experience as follows: Two years of progressively higher-level graduate education leading to a master’s degree or equivalent graduate degree in a related field. OR You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions. In addition to the above requirements, you must meet the following time-in-grade requirement, if applicable: For the GS-7, you must have been at the GS-5 level for 52 weeks. For the GS-9, you must have been at the GS-7 level for 52 weeks.
