All qualifications must be met by the closing date of this announcement-11/23/2024-unless otherwise stated in this vacancy announcement. Credit will be given for all appropriate qualifying experience. To receive credit for experience, your resume MUST clearly indicate the nature of the duties and responsibilities for each position, starting and ending dates of employment (month/year), and the resume must reflect full and/or part-time or total number of hours worked (i.e., work 40+ hours a week, rather than indicating full-time). If part-time, the hours must be annotated to be able to pro-rate the amount of qualified specialized experience. SELECTIVE FACTOR: This position requires the skill of a qualified typist with the ability to type at least 40 words per minute. Candidates who do not meet this requirement by close of this announcement will receive no further consideration for this position. – AND – To qualify for this position at the GS-06 grade level, you must possess at least one or all of the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). This experience includes activities such as: Operation of computerized information systems; drafting reports and correspondence for management from data sources and related files; inputting and processing data related to budget and finance; preparing purchase requests/documents; inputting time and attendance data into a timekeeping system; purchasing and completing required documentation; budget tracking; preparing and entering personnel actions; and coordinating travel arrangements. You must include hours per week worked. -OR- To qualify for this position at the GS-07 grade level, you must possess the following minimum qualifications by close of the announcement: EXPERIENCE: At least one full year of specialized experience comparable in scope and responsibility to the GS-06 grade level in the Federal service (obtained in either the public or private sectors). Examples of specialized experience may include but are not limited to: Providing a wide variety of administrative support services to enable efficient operation of a business or program office; the independent operation of computerized information systems; tracking and reconciling fiscal data for programmed accounts versus actual expenditures, preparing and following up on purchase orders and contracts; administering payroll and time and attendance; preparing travel authorizations and vouchers using automated systems and software for travel and voucher preparation; providing direction to staff on mail distribution and routing procedures; composing correspondence, memoranda, reports, etc. using word processing software and computer equipment; conducting inventories of organization’s property to document missing or broken items. You must include hours per week worked. Volunteer Experience: Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
This is a Career-Seasonal appointment. Career-Seasonal appointments are permanent positions and include the same benefits as Career appointments, but do not provide work on a year-round basis. You will be required to be on furlough status for one period in the calendar year. You will be in a non-pay status for one pay period. Non-pay timeframe/period will be from November 30th until December 14th, as determined by park adminstration/supervisor.
