Qualification requirements emphasis is on quality of experience, not necessarily the length of time. This job has a screen-out element which will be used to determine minimum eligibility for this job. Applicants who do not receive a minimum of two points on the screen-out element(s) will be found ineligible. The Screen-out Element for this position is: the ability to perform the duties of a Materials Handler as demonstrated by experience working under normal supervision receiving, storing, and assembling for issue, shipment, and distribution; operating material handling equipment including forklifts; reviewing shipping documents; utilizing computerized systems; loading and unloading trucks; following prescribed regulations regarding materials storage; using prescribed modes of transportation to move materials to shipping dock; handling HAZMAT; identifying errors/inaccurate information regarding materials; selecting materials for shipment.
