Basic Requirement for 1712 Series: You must have you successfully completed a full 4-year course of study in an accredited or pre-accredited academic institution leading to a bachelor’s or higher degree with a major or equivalent in education or a subject area related to the position to be filled. Note: If qualifying based on education, you MUST include documentation or proof with your application that you have met the basic requirement to be determined eligible for consideration. OR Have specialized experience that demonstrates a practical knowledge of human resources information technology and of the methods and techniques of instruction. Examples of qualifying specialized experience include: Teaching or instructing in an adult education program, secondary school, college, military installation, or industrial establishment in the appropriate field(s). Supervising or administering a training program. Development or review of training/course materials, aids, devices, etc., and evaluation of training results. Work in the occupation or subject-matter field of the position to be filled that required training or instructing others on a regular basis. In addition to meeting the basic requirement above, to qualify for this position you must also meet the experience requirements listed below: Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience with included experience developing instructional programs to include establishing the time and emphasis of each unit; developing course materials such as lesson plans and training aids; conducting platform instruction to an audience; AND evaluating space operations, concepts, doctrine, or training for accuracy. The definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower pay band or equivalent grade/level position in the federal service (NH-02). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Education / Training Program Administration Instructional Delivery and Learner Development Learning and Program Evaluation Organizational Awareness Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (NH-02/GS-11).
