To be eligible for this internship position, ALL of the following requirements must be met: Academic Enrollment: You must be enrolled or accepted for enrollment in an accredited high school, technical or vocational school, two-year or four-year college or university, graduate, or professional school (go to https://ope.ed.gov/accreditation/ to verify accreditation status). Individuals who are enrolled must be taking at least a half-time academic, vocational, or technical course load leading to a degree, diploma, or certificate. “Half-time” is defined by the school in which the student is enrolled. Good Academic Standing: Applicants must have at least a 2.5 GPA. Qualification Requirements: Applicants must meet the minimum qualifications for this position as outlined below: Qualification Requirements: To qualify for the GS-07 level, you must meet the following requirements by the closing of this announcement: A. Education: In the Intern Program you may qualify based solely on related (business administration, management, economics, finance) education as follows: Completion of 1 full academic year of graduate level education or OR Superior Academic Achievement may be met by having a Bachelor’s degree, with one of the following: (1) A GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale for all completed undergraduate courses or those completed in the last 2 years of study, or (2) a GPA of 3.5 or higher on a 4.0scale for all courses in the major field of study or those courses in the major completed in the last 2 years of study, or (3) rank in the upper one third of the class in the college, university, or major subdivision, or (4)membership in a national honor society recognized by the Association of College Honor Societies. OR B. Experience: You may qualify with one year of specialized at a level of difficulty and responsibility equivalent to the GS-05 grade level in the Federal service. Specialized experience for this position includes: Gathering, analyzing, and evaluating various types of management data. Providing functional guidance and recommending solutions to supervisor, management or other personnel. It must include significant experience with spreadsheets and the analysis of qualitative and quantitative data. OR C. You may qualify by a combination of experience and education. Options for qualifying based on a combination will be identified in the online questions. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. One year of experience refers to full-time work; part-time work is considered on a prorated basis.
