You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Additional information about transcripts is in this document. This position requires a typing proficiency of at least 40 words per minute (WPM) based on a 5 minute sample with 3 or fewer errors. Specialized Experience GS-05: One year of specialized experience which includes: providing procedural and administrative work in an office environment; preparing correspondence; maintaining files or records; making travel arrangements; maintaining inventory records; and timekeeping. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-04). OR Successfully completed four years of education above the high school level obtained in an accredited business, secretarial or technical school, junior college, college or university. (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) OR Experience as described above, but less than one year; and have some education above the high school level but less than required above. You must compute the percentage of the requirements, and the total is at least 100% (To compute the percentage, divide your total months of qualifying experience by 12. Then, divide your semester hours of education by 60. Add the two percentages. The total percentage must equal at least 100 percent to qualify.). (Note: You must attach a copy of your transcripts.) Specialized Experience GS-06: One year of specialized experience which includes: providing procedural and administrative work in an office environment; preparing correspondence; maintaining files or records; making travel arrangements; maintaining inventory records; and timekeeping. Some federal jobs allow you to substitute your education for the required experience in order to qualify. For this job, you must meet the qualification requirement using experience alone–no substitution of education for experience is permitted. Specialized Experience GS-07: One year of specialized experience which includes: providing procedural and administrative work in an office environment; make travel arrangements to include preparing orders and vouchers; coordinate training requirements; assist in preparation and analysis of operating budget; use an automated personnel database to initiate personnel actions; use a financial management system to complete duties as timekeeper and complete weekly labor reports. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-06). About the Position: You will be responsible for providing the Park Manager and staff administrative and clerical support in the areas of budgeting, purchasing, property control, personnel actions, data processing, reporting, Corps of Engineers Financial Management System (CEFMS) and other project office operations.
