SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SCIENCE TECHNICIAN

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of Specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience demonstrating knowledge, understanding and practical abilities listed in the radiological controls technician training standards section of the NAVSEA Manual Radiological Controls for shipyards. Must have a current NAVSEA 389-0288 Art. 108 qualification or a qualified NNPP Radiological Controls Technician (RCT). Experience applying physical science principles and techniques of radiological control requirements. Experience providing on-scene radiological control responses for actual or potential radiological emergencies, casualties, training exercises, and proficiency drills on or off site. Experience providing authoritative recommendations for radiological control techniques and procedures on major plant overhaul/refueling operations. Experience applying quantitative measurement and health physics techniques to conduct a comprehensive assessment of potential problems in such areas as radioactive spills, waste disposal, effluent monitoring and storage and handling of radioactive materials and equipment. You will serve as a SUPERVISORY PHYSICAL SCIENCE TECHNICIAN in the Radiological Waterfront Operations Manager and Radiological Refueling and Special Emphasis Manager (105.3A/B) of the Radiological Monitoring Division (105.3) in the Radiological Controls NNSY Waterfront (105.1W) that is located in the Radiological Control Office (Code 105), of NORFOLK NAVAL SHIPYARD.
