Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student; social). You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience. Your resume must clearly describe your relevant experience; if qualifying based on education, your transcripts will be required as part of your application. Specialized Experience: One year of specialized experience which includes: 1) exercising managerial and operational control of construction programs to include in-depth understanding of mission objectives and knowledge of agency business practices in conjunction with laws, policies, and regulations; 2) assisting with establishing design, and construction management policies to facilitate implementation of construction program initiatives; 3) identifying and resolving problems relating to design and construction delays, excessive costs, and other technical problems; and 4) preparing design and construction program data for special studies, presentations and other similar purposes. This definition of specialized experience is typical of work performed at the next lower grade/level position in the federal service (GS-13). You will be evaluated on the basis of your level of competency in the following areas: Administration and Management Decision Making Planning and Evaluating Problem Solving Time in Grade Requirement: Applicants who have held a General Schedule (GS) position within the last 52 weeks must have 52 weeks of Federal service at the next lower grade or equivalent (GS-13).
About the Position: This position is with the HQ, US Army Corps of Engineers, Directorate of Military Programs, Interagency and International Services (IIS) Division. It is duty-located at 441 G St NW in Washington, D.C. and will be filled on a permanent basis.
