Lead Mail Processing Equipment Operator

Specialized Experience: You qualify at the Grade 07 level if you possess one year of specialized experience that equips you with the skills needed to perform the job duties. This specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the Grade 6 level to meet the qualification requirements in the Federal Service. Specialized experience is defined as experience that includes operating mail processing equipment and controls, setting up and adjusting mail processing equipment to produce acceptable products or services on a timely basis, and performing normal operator maintenance. Education cannot be substituted at this grade level. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations, (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
