INSTRUCTIONAL SYSTEMS SPECIALIST

In addition to the Basic Requirements for this position, your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-09 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience initiating and planning development of the curricula in the assigned specialty areas and establishing curriculum design, development, and/or evaluative criteria through analysis of educational or instructional deficiencies. Experience providing project guidelines, conducting periodic reviews of progress, reviewing complete projects and revising materials or returning them to the originator with directions for revisions. Experience performing analysis to verify training deficiencies and possible solutions and recommend corrective actions. Experience creating curriculum strategy with input from subject matter experts (SMEs), and lead course instructional teams through a review of the objectives and course learning strategies and establish goals and timelines for course development. Experience implementing educational theories, principles, methods, practices and techniques, and the Navy’s Instructional Systems Development (ISD) processes for the application of PADDIE and the usage of Content Planning Module (CPM), Learning Object Module (LOM), Authoring Instructional Material (AIM) and CETARs. Experience establishing workflow methods and procedures and determining work to be accomplished both long and short-range, and set work priorities.
